McLaren Vale Cellar Door of the Year 2016

We are proud to announce that Hugh Hamilton Wines have topped the annual McLaren Vale Cellar Door of the Year awards on October 26th 2016, taking out two awards. We have been awarded the top gong Cellar Door of the Year award and an individual recognition was awarded to Sabine Delago, one of our team members.

Sabine Delago was announced as one of four Cellar Door Stars of the Region. Sabine has been a part of the Hugh Hamilton team for over 8 years and is known for her warm welcome, her genuine wine knowledge and her passion for McLaren Vale and the wider Fleurieu region. For Sabine to be recognized for nearly a decade of delightful service in this community is fabulous, all of us are so happy for her.

Hugh Hamilton Wines took out the top prize of McLaren Vale Cellar Door of the Year. This award comes after a number of recent investments into our cellar door experience, including the installment of an ‘Enomatic’ wine dispenser. This tool has allowed us to share more of our wonderful red wines, including the highly regarded ‘Black Blood’ series, that showcases the spectacular variety of sub regional Shiraz, yet in the most fascinating way.

The Cellar Door of the Year Awards are made possible by the passionate McLaren Vale Cellar Door Committee, many volunteer judges and numerous sponsors, including Kaleidoscopic Travel & Chooks Little Winery Tours, who will generously assist Hugh Hamilton Wines in planning a day to visit a South Australian wine region to further our knowledge about South Australian wine.

The entire Hugh Hamilton team is proud to be recognized as a stand out destination in the McLaren Vale region. We aim to inject Black Sheep personality into every interaction with visitors in our iconic Cellar Door.
